About Project
Common Threads is a trauma-informed creative therapy project designed for survivors of gender-based violence, displacement, or chronic stress. It provides a safe, supportive space for emotional healing through textile arts—such as embroidery, fabric journaling, and communal stitching—allowing participants to share their experiences in non-verbal and symbolic ways.
This initiative draws on the power of storytelling, peer connection, and tactile expression to restore confidence, reclaim narratives, and promote long-term recovery. Each participant contributes to a shared tapestry that represents both individual resilience and collective healing.
